Thanksgiving in Santa Barbara

The Fall season in Santa Barbara is a great time to visit the Central Coast. It’s popular for locals to celebrate Thanksgiving by taking a morning walk on the beach before settling in for a gourmet turkey feast. Run Santa Barbara is hosting a 4-mile fun run which starts at the Magnolia Shopping Center at 9:00 am.  Another great way to start the morning is with a hike in the foothills overlooking the ocean and city. Whatever your plans include, rest assured it is going to be another great weekend in Santa Barbara.

Some of the most popular restaurants to enjoy a family Thanksgiving meal include the Biltmore Hotel. San Ysidro Ranch, Fess Parkers Double Tree Resort, The Wine Cast or Holdrens Restaurant on State Street. Some good suggestions for take out turkey dinners are Lazy Acres, Whole Foods or Sly’s restaurant.  Make sure you call ahead for reservations if you are thinking of dining out or ordering a turkey dinner to go. The holiday weather forecast includes the possibility of light rain which means clear skies and warm weather for the long weekend.  Hope you enjoy Santa Barbara!
